Johanna Johnston
Executive Director
Johanna moved to Houlton in 2021. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing from California State University Monterey Bay. She has more than 15 years administrative experience in a variety of industries. Most recently, Johanna held the position of Eclipse Event Coordinator which increased visitation by 29% and spending by 99% for the 2024 total solar eclipse. This was a joint effort between the SADC, the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce and the town of Houlton. The SADC Attraction Committee was recently given the “Rising Star” award at the 2025 Govenor’s Tourism Conference for their work with the Maine Eclipse.
